Hi! My name is Michelle Kirn. This will be my fourth year teaching at Honors Academy of Literature and my twenty-first year in education. While I have spent the majority of my career as a special education teacher, I have also had the privilege of working as a general education elementary teacher and as a special education instructional coach. I earned my dual teaching degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and later completed my Master’s in Integrated Curriculum with a focus on Special Education from the American College of Education. I am deeply passionate about teaching and strive to create an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn. Outside of school, I love hanging out with my family. My husband's name is Bobby and we have two boys, Kai (16) and Loke (14). I also love watching my boys play sports, camping, country music, reading, and puzzles.
