My name is Lucas, I am the Music Teacher at Honors Academy of Lit. I grew up in a huge family being the 3rd of seven siblings. Growing up we moved around a lot, starting school in Pennsylvania until we moved to Texas when I was in 8th grade. Growing up in Texas is where my love for music really blossomed.

After High School and chasing rock stardom for many years I eventually found myself back in school. In 2005 I moved to Reno and attended UNR leading to graduating in the spring of 2010 with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Bio.

After college I worked multiple jobs working with youth from Activity Coordinator at Kids Kottage to Psycho-Social Rehabilitation with at risk youth. After a few years working in the social services world I started the non-profit Kid Rocker, where we connect the classroom and the stage by offering weekly instruction and hosting rock n roll concert style recitals.

After starting Kid Rocker it led to working at enCompass Academy High School as their part time music instructor in 2018. Then in 2022 I became HAL's part time music instructor. I am thrilled to now be Honors full time music teacher and am looking forward to inspiring students through the love of music.
