Ms. Julie Harpole
KindergartenI truly enjoy being part of the Honors Academy of Literature teaching staff! I have been involved with the school prior to us having a building and our scholars were just a dream. It is a pleasure to be able to take on the role of teaching at such an amazing, innovative school! I have previously taught kindergarten, first and third grades at various schools. I believe that learning takes place in the home and the school, your help and support are vital elements in your child’s academics.
My success as a teacher comes from my personal enthusiasm for learning. I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education and have continued to earn over 32 credits beyond it and enjoy pursuing opportunities to enhance my teaching and benefit my students. I integrate the 21st-century skills into my teaching, by including technology, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills to ensure that students are prepared for the future. As a teacher, my goal is to develop a love of learning, and a burning curiosity in my students that will lead them to academic growth and a strong future as lifelong learners. I am the proud mom of two high school students. They both are involved in sports and we enjoy camping as a family. Creating woods signs and teaching sign making classes has provided me with the opportunity to combine two of my passions of being creative and teaching. I have started a small business to support these interests. |
