Welcome to an exciting year for the Liz Warner and Jennifer Jensen Love of Learning Library! Working in collaboration with our director, our teaching staff, and local public librarians, the Academy’s Library will sponsor a strong information literacy program that promotes reading and research.
Following the American Association of School Librarian’s model of Standards for the 21st Century Learner, your child’s school library program embraces reading, technology, evidence-based learning, and diversity. The library is one with fluid boundaries that is layered by diverse needs and influenced by an interactive global community. Our school library program will focus on building a flexible learning environment with the goal of producing successful learners skilled in multiple literacies.

Beginning in August, your child will receive information literacy instruction weekly and will be given the opportunity to select a book or magazine to take home. Please help your scholar with the care and sensible return of all books & magazines.
Checkouts:
Scholars K-2: One book, one week, or as soon as the book has been read (teachers & parents may increase the number and or time)
Scholars 3-8: Two books, two weeks, or as soon as the book(s) has been read (teachers & parents) may increase the number and or time)
