As our Middle School Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons in life science, physical science, and earth and space science for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and exploration.
- Design and implement hands-on experiments and activities that bring scientific concepts to life.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall science curriculum and integrate cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in science education or related field
- Valid teaching credential or certification for middle school science (or K-8 gen ed)
- 2+ years of experience teaching science at the middle school level (preferred not required)
- Strong content knowledge in life, physical, and earth sciences
- Passion for making science accessible and exciting for all students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning

Teacher Requirements:
- Nevada or National Teacher Certification
- Work or volunteer record that demonstrates a passion for teaching
- Evidence of leadership skills
- Has worked as a part of a collaborative team
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Familiarity with developmental instruction and differentiation
- Familiarity with administering educational assessments, interpreting data, and adjusting instruction based on assessment results
- Strong communication skills
- Record of working effectively with all stakeholders, especially parents
- Strong references who are familiar with your teaching abilities
