Scholar Policy Manual

Crisis Management Plan

Due to security concerns, we cannot post the Crisis Management Plan on our website.  However, if you would like to read it, you may request to do so in the school office.

Personal Electronics at the Academy

Scholars are not allowed to use cell phones and other electronic devices before and after school, and during lunch. Electronic devices can be used in the classroom at the discretion of each teacher. They should be used in conjunction with learning and to make the learning environment more efficient. If an electronic device becomes disruptive or a scholar’s use of an electronic device is deemed inappropriate by a teacher, then staff have the right to ask that it no longer be used during school and/or confiscate the device when continuing to be a distraction. If a device is confiscated, parents can pick it up after school in the principal’s office.

We offer free Wi-Fi to any parent, and encourage you to connect any device that is internet capable in the school office. All devices on our network will be limited by our firewall to help protect against inappropriate content and usage in an academic setting.
