We are excited to offer two special after-school programs at the Academy.
These are independently run organizations that meet at school. Sign up and payments are made directly to KidScape and Chess Kids. Classes are subject to minimum enrollments.
KidScape Productions is a professional Life Skills and Acting program for ages 3 and up to develop self-confidence and communication skills. Our main class is composed of improvisational games, where students must apply their listening and speaking skills through a creative and comfortable setting.
Chess Kidz uses songs, stories, and dances to bring the game of chess to children in a fun and exciting way. This wonderful learning experience not only teaches children to play chess now, but also prepares them for life later by enhancing their critical thinking skills, mental discipline, problem solving, and self-esteem.
Chess Kidz will be at the Academy on Mondays from 3:45 - 4:45 pm for K-8. They'll meet in Ms. Audrey's classroom downstairs. Sessions match our academic quarters. The second session runs for eight weeks, from October 20 through December 8. The cost for the 2nd quarter session is $85. Flyer
