Ms. Kari BuccambusoLibrarianHello, I am Ms. Kari and I am the new librarian at HAL!
I have been part of the HAL community since 2017 when my oldest child started as a 3rd grader. We've been at HAL ever since with my other two kids also attending. I first became active in the school as a volunteer in the library, and then quickly became involved with Champions PTO. After returning to Brigham Young University and finishing my bachelor's degree in 2023, I began substitute teaching. I absolutely loved it! I am so excited to move into this new role at HAL as the Librarian and coaching the FTC Robotics Team 21632- the Great Golden Gryphons. I love reading and value the importance of literacy in our society. I hope to help every scholar find a new favorite book this year. A little about me: In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband, 3 kids, 2 cats, and dog- Miso Soup Doggy Dogg. I enjoy exploring National Parks, hiking, camping, kayaking, reading, volunteering, advocacy work, and creating- art, quilts, food, Lego, gardens, etc. I love Oxford commas and exclamation marks! My favorite fandom is Lord of the Rings. I'm addicted to the Libby app and love listening to audiobooks. Not including the books I read to scholars in the library, I have read 51 books so far this year! |
