The Library is trying to make sure that each scholar (as well as those staff who request) receives the May order forms.

Please remember that Ms. J-Lynn is in the process of collecting new paperback books to revitalize our book exchange program in the Academy's hallways.  As you order Scholastic books, please consider purchasing an extra book or classroom set to donate to Ms. Shar for the "Read and Succeed Book Exchange."

Ms. Shar does apologize for any and all confusion.  There will a small June Scholastic Book Order in June which will go home around Tuesday, May 27and due that Friday so books will be here before June 13th.

We will be sending home the newest flier next Tuesday, January 21.  The completed paper order and payment need to be returned to Ms. Shar, Ms. Jo or your scholar's literacy teacher by Friday, January 24.  Checks, made payable to Scholastic, are preferred although cash is okay too.

Reading is the most important skill you can teach a child.  Of all the skills children learn, it is the one you can influence the most.  Giving children access to great books and the opportunity to choose books will motivate them to read more.  And, like most acquired skills, the more children practice reading, the better they will get.

We, the Academy, invite you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience a celebration of reading that provides families the opportunity to get involved in a a universal mission: encouraging children and young adults to read every day so they can lead better lives.

Book Fair Dates:  Monday, November 18 through Friday, November 22

Shopping Hours:  8:30 AM until 4:30 PM daily

We would especially love to see you on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH when our Academy hosts Family Literacy Night. Between the hours of 4 PM and 8 PM you and your family may browse the Fair.  Special activities are being planned, and each will be advertised shortly as to type of activity and time.

We look forward to having you participate in our Fair, and remember, all purchases benefit the Liz Warner Love of Learning Library as well as individual classrooms.  Wish Lists will be available for each teacher!
