Ms. Taylor Hutchinson
I am Taylor Hutchinson and I am so excited to be a new member of the Honors Academy of Literature this year. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in Psychology and my masters from the University of Denver in Education. I have an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students or English as a Second Language.
This year, I will be teaching the Gifted and Talented/Multi-Age Classroom. We will have a diverse learning community with second through fifth graders together. Scholars will learn standards working in small groups through Project Based Learning. I am excited to facilitate inquiry as scholars dive deep into our project’s driving questions. Then, it is up to the scholar to decide how they would like to share their new knowledge with their peers, school and community.
In my freetime, my husband and our two dogs like to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Reno has to offer. We like to hike, snowshoe and are looking forward to getting back into snowboarding this year.
I am so thrilled to be a part of a team that put scholars at the center of their own learning experience. I’m looking forward to learning alongside the scholars in our classroom this year!
