Ms. Melisa

Interventionist

ms.melisa@academyoflit.org
Hello.
My name is Melisa Robinson and I have been at Honors Academy of Literature for almost 2 years. I have a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Social work. I worked as a clinical social worker doing Child and Family Therapy for many years as well as enter edintoadoctoral program in Counseling Psychology but left both my career and the program many years ago to be a stay at home mom to three awesome children, all of which go to HAL! My passions include being out in nature doing hikes and camping, traveling with my family, and being at home cooking. I also have a love for holistic healing modalities and currently am working on certification for homeopathy and functional nutrition. Here at Honors Academy I have been lucky enough to work with really wonderful scholars doing reading intervention as well as co-facilitating social emotional groups. I love this school and the approach the teachers and staff take to learning and education and the care and dedication they have towards the well-being of each of its scholars and their families. I look forward to another great year!
