I moved to Reno in June of 2018 and I am enjoying my new home. I love Hot August Nights, Hot Air Balloons and the warm sun. I enjoy coffee shops with a good book or for a nice chat. I also enjoy play performances, going to the movies, bowling, and walks with my family. I am married to my husband Matt and together we have one daughter. We have a Rottweiler named Rainbow that brings lots of joy to our lives.
I am excited to be joining the Honors Academy of Literature community to teach K/1 scholars! My all time favorite book is: Oh the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss. I love to learn about new things and new places. Before living in Nevada, I have lived in California and Oregon. I took a trip to 36 states in six weeks when I was nine years old. I have been to six countries. I have seen so much of the world and have so much more I want to see!
I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Westmont College, a Multiple Subjects Teacher’s Credential from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Multnomah University. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Third and Fourth. I love to learn and I love to help others discover the joy of learning.
