Ms. Katie Stewart
As I look into my fifth year at the Honors Academy of Literature and second year as the Student Relations/Special Education Coordinator I am excited and optimistic about what the future has to bring to our wonderful school. Given the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and help support students to make the best decisions for themselves and their behavior is inspiring. With a Bachelor’s Degree in General Education and Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration I am able to fill multiple roles.
I previously taught fifth grade for two years and sixth grade for one year with the Honors Academy and enjoyed the relationships I was able to build with students. It taught me that my true passion in education lies with supporting kids to be their best selves. I fully believe in and support the model that the Honors Academy offers to students of differentiated learning environments for all and the unique opportunity that this provides for students with special needs.
