. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Teaching and am completing a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am passionate about literature and the arts and math and science and…it might just be easier to say that I am passionate about learning because there is something to fascinate and inspire in almost EVERYTHING! I love being a detective and connecting student interests and learning styles to what we are doing in class. I look forward to sharing ideas, knowledge, experiences, music, recipes, life hacks, etc., together!
I grew up, married and raised my children in Utah. I attended Utah State University and the University of Utah. I spent 18 months as a missionary in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I learned Spanish and how to make empanadas and gnocchi. Our family moved to Reno in 2016 because we wanted an adventure. My husband Aric is the Redevelopment Director for Reno City. My daughter Emily is currently on a mission in McAllen, Texas and will be starting nursing school in the spring. My son Matthew graduated from TMCC High School and will be majoring in cybersecurity at UNR. My daughter Elizabeth will be in 5th grade and this will be her first year at HAL. She wants to be a robotics engineer. I love to read, and re-read good books, sew, write, and do big projects. |
