This is an hourly position of up to 11 hours a week—days negotiable but definitely need Tuesday and Thursday availability.Daily program times are as follows: Monday-Thursday from 2pm-4:30pm.
Primary role would be to run first half of the after school classroom with primary students and assist with the transition of the elementary and middle school students.
This is to include prep and planning for fun academic-oriented activities and some recreational breaks.

Brief Job Description: The After School Supervisor Position is responsible for daily running of the academic-oriented after school classroom. From 2-3:30 only primary students, from grades k-2, would be in the program. From 3:30-4 you would incorporate the elementary and middle school students into the classroom and get them settled from the transition at the end of the school day. The After School Supervisor would be responsible for co-planning the themes and activities for each week, preparing activities and games, and coming ready to provide a positive learning environment for the scholars each day. This position will report directly to the Gryphon Group Program Director. Requirements for After School Supervisor Position:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong people skills and a willingness to positively work with a variety of stakeholders
Experience working in an educational setting or a professional office
Ability to keep scholar information confidential and respect all FERPA requirements
Positive examples of effectively working with children
Ability to set goals and follow through with clear expectations for students
Evidence of working well on a team
Be willing to undergo a background check when hired
Preferences for After School Supervisor Position:
Some college experience or enrolled in a college program, especially if related to education
Experience working in a K-12 school setting, especially in a before or after school environment
